Play Ball Indiana’s RBI Night was a great success this past Friday at Victory Field! The RBI program, staff and board members were joined by Mayor Greg Ballard and some of his administration between games during the double header to proclaim August as “Play Ball Indiana” month here in Indiana.
The annual RBI Night at Victory Field was a special one this season as the Indianapolis Indians have stepped up to the plate and gone above an beyond when it comes to showing their support for our RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) programs. Each year the Indian’s host our RBI Night fundraiser but this year’s game was the Civil Rights Memorial Night and the Indians players wore retro Negro League Indianapolis Clowns jerseys that were then auctioned off during the night and proceeds going back to Play Ball Indiana. We would like to thank our sponsors for the night USA Funds, Indy Sports Foundation, Katz, Sapper & Miller and White River State Park for all their support. It turned out to be a beautiful night at the ball park and fun was had during the pre-game celebration at White River State Park.
Thanks to White River State Park who hosted our pre-game celebration and Tow-Yard Brewing and Byrnes Grilled Pizza for being a part of the event.
