Over 150 employees of the international accounting firm Deloitte took part in their 13th “Community Day of Service” by working on Forest Manor Park on Fri. June 8. The parking and concession areas were raked and re-graveled. All the grounds were mowed, trimmed and weeded, while 30 new trees courtesy of Keep Indianapolis Beautiful were planted throughout the grounds.
The concession stand and office spaces were cleaned, painted and re-carpeted. And, two new pee wee diamonds were built in the grassy area to the east of the parking lot.
In addition over 30 Deloitte employees took part in a “sponsor an RBI kid” mini-fundraising campaign. So far over $3500 has been donated to help give inner city youth opportunities to play baseball or softball.
